Scribblin' Up a Little Christmas

Ho - Ho - Ho-wdy!

UGH - I've gotta stop doing that, cuz this one, this one is really bad! LOL But I really wanna share the great challenge going on at Scribbles Designs. We are focusing on non-traditional Christmas colors and have I got a wownderful color combo for you!!

Images I've used: Snow Kisses

I would've never thought of varying shades of blues and purples together, but it worked out great I think. The absolutely wonderful pattern paper I've used is from Bo Bunny, the ribbon is from Joann Fabrics and the paper is from Office Maxx and Michaels. And like usual, my inks are Copic.

This month's sponsors...
Top Scribbler receives $10 worth of digital images, winner's choice
Top 3 receives $3 worth of digital images
So, now it's your turn to come up with a colorful, yet non-traditional, holiday color combo, and I can't wait to see it! Be sure you go to Scribble Designs Challenge blog and add your card to the linky. I'll see you there!

Thankful thru the miles

Hello again KBD fans! I'm here again to share my latest cards. These are for the challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges. I already showed you my little honey bear perfect pair and today I have these little bears to share...

I used Stitchy Bear digis for both cards. I added some fresh fall patterned papers, a little bit of ribbon, some Copic ink and there you have it. Two wonderful "thankful" cards to send out to my family to help celebrate Thanksgiving even though we are all so far apart.

If you add your "perfect pair" project to our linky, you could be chosen to win the wonderful prize being offered by Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet! So, go on and make a project or two and head over to Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges! See you there...

My perfect pair

As a child I collected 3 things: teddy bears, clowns and dragons. I was always drawn to the pitiful little bears that were missing an eye, an arm or just looked like they needed my love more than the others sitting around him. Silly, but I still find myself still drawn to the underdog animal. And I still collect bears, dragons and have added sea turtles over the years.

Today I wan to share this little card. I created it for the challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges. How much more of a perfect pair can you possibly get than the love a bear has for honey?!

I used gray cardstock for the base adding some gray ink splats using a Stampin' Up set. I added few strips of coordinating ribbon I purchased at Walmart & Joann Fabrics. I really love this burlap ribbon, I picked up two different widths!

So, you really should pull out all your supplies and pull together a great card show casing your take on "perfect pairs." If you add your project to our linky, you could be chosen to win the wonderful prize being offered by Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet! Be sure to go on over to  Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges to read up on all the details! See you there...

It's Holly Jolly Time!

I'm so happy to be posting today for The Robin's Nest - It's getting so close to Christmas and I've been working on a few little holiday cards lately! I also created a handful of treat holders using the scraps from this card to hand out to my son's classmates for Christmas. You can see this project on The Robin's Nest blog.

A little fancy foldin'

Hi again my friends!!

We have a really fun challenge going on at Scribbles Designs right now. It's time to reach into your bag of tricks and pull out some old school fancy folding or special shapes.

Images I've used: Too Moose, Foxy 2, Acorn , Little Tree 2, Owl

I decided to do a double diamond fold. I used a standard 8.5 x 11' piece of cardstock. PLEASE note, I am not an architect, so my drawing is not to scale. Please follow the numerical measurements cuz they are correct! Here's a drawing of my score lines:

You can look at my card to figure out how to fold it, or check out You Tube. I reworked the measurements to be able to use a standard psc of cardstock instead of having to use a 12x12 psc and wasting tons of paper. =)

This month's sponsors...
Top Scribbler receives $10 worth of digital images, winner's choice
Top 3 receives $3 worth of digital images

Now, after you've decided on which fancy fold or special shape you are going to create - head on over to Scribble Designs Challenge blog and add your card to the linky. I look forward to seeing your super fun creation!

Oh So Suzy!

Oh so happy -

I've been working on a few very special projects  this month and I can finally share the exciting news with you!

Squeeee - I'm over at So Suzy Stamps Blog today as a guest DT! I'm a big fan of all the great products she offers in her store here. There are stamps with matching SVGs, embellishments, sentiments and recently she has started offering classes, stamp clubs and COPICs!!

So Suzy's blog hosts wonderful monthly challenges and this month, she's asked for some super scary goodness - Halloween inspired projects. If you hurry, you still have a bit of time to add your creation to the linky...

Image used:  T-Rex

My little T-Rex is actually gray with purple spots, but sadly on this background he is kinda washed out a wee bit. This card is actually made using an acetate front. I added the grass, tombstones and sentiment to the front. And Rex, the tree, and the moon are all inside the card. I used my Copics to color the images and distress inks to color the background. The rolling clouds of fog are a bit hard to see, but they are there making the night perfectly spooky for trick or treating! And by the looks of his pumpkin basket, he's already hits some houses!

 Images used: Missing Person

For second card I decided to use this super fun "missing person" stamp. Thought I'd make a zombie hand colored with my Copics. I tried a new to me tech using tiny dots to create a great background. It was really fun to use and I'm sure I'll try it again.

 Image Used: Black Cats Prowl

My third card - I simply couldn't stop making Halloween cards with So Suzy Stamps goodies!! Anyhoo, I used this wicked sentiment paired with an image I cute with my Cricut. Clean and simple but striking I think...

Images used: Weird Stalker

Finally, my last card. My son is really big into Zombies so it goes in my life. So finally, I wanted to use this great sentiment to show just how versatile all of Suzy's stamps can be. I used some great papers and ribbon, and I used my Copics to add color to my sweet little Zombie girl.

Please be sure to stop over at So Suzy Stamps to see all of her GREAT products and check out her blog too as there are always wonderfully creative DT and Guest DT projects to keep you active and smiling!

Pass the pepper please...

Oooo - it's my absolutely, mostest, favoritest time of the year! (My English teacher sister will absolutilest hate that sentence!) And because it's my fav holiday, I ended up crafting two cards! When I saw these two little KBD kitties I just had to feature them for my "stand-in" DT spotlight. They are all dressed up and ready to head out to trick or treat.

AND, this is my 2nd card for this post. I used another  KBD image. I used my Copics to ink up all my digis. Added some great holiday papers, ribbons and embellishments and fell in love!

The current challenge over on the Kitty Bee Design Blog - Aloha Friday Challenges - is Halloween! Eeeek, its just perfect for me! You need to go over and check out the DT inspiration, entries and the wonderful challenge sponsor, The Paper Shelter.  I do hope you will head over and add your card to the linky! See you there!

I made this card for Em and colored the little kitten to look like her little Chemmies kitty. She turns 20 on the 25th. My 1st born and all I keep thinking is "where'd the time go?!"

I put this card in for the monthly fall themed challenge.

Got Trick or Treats?

I do!

Today I am bringing you a new Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges. My fav theme: Halloween!!  I made a really cute Origami treat bag, shaped like a paper lunch bag. I will admit I fiddled with this bag sooooo much, just couldn't get the size I really needed with the 1st (or 3rd) try!

I used velum to make the bag and the embossing was actually an afterthought. I used an image from The Paper Shelter. Love those little images. You really should play along so you can WIN some great images from this store!! Go here (Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenges) to add your project to the linky and keep your fingers crossed. The theme is super fun: Halloween which is perfect for this time of year. I hope to see you there.

Happy Halloween Everyone

Spook-tacular

Hello -

I've missed you guys. I've had to take a break from "live" posts due to health, but I'm feeling much better now and will get back to posting more "live" and less just scheduled projects. I wanted to share you with a really cute card for Halloween using a Scribbles Designs image.

Image used: Cauldron

The papers are a mix of digi papers, Neenah and SU. The sentiment is from Craft Secrets, ribbon from SU.

Hope you are getting ready for all the trick or treaters!! I've been very busy the past few days coloring and creating, I'll be posting my creations over the next few days. Hope you are having a GREAT Thursday!!
