Scribble Me ~ Fight the Filthy Fly Month

No! You guys! It's my last Public Service Announcement of behalf of Scribbles Designs! How sad, I know. And, yes, June has been National Fight the Filthy Fly Month!  I just know how much you will miss my announcements. Maybe I'll add some in from time to time for the fun of it.

I have really enjoyed my time as a Guest Design Team Member for Scribbles Designs. And today I want to  show you that digital images can be used in so many different ways. I have always been a scrap booker and recently started using my Fauxdori planner. I have used my stamps on these projects in the past, but I have to share with you digital images are the bomb!

This is a journal pocket I made for scrapbook page for our recent family picnic we went on. I loved all these PERFECT Scribbles Designs. And since this month we are required to fight those filthy flies, this is great! The mason jar is an image I already had and I added Scribbles flies to the inside! Whats fun is that I will use this same idea and call them fireflies when we go camping!

These are the journal card inserts. I added ribbons as a pull and a pair of sunglasses charm I've has FOR-EVEH for fun! I added Wink of Stella to the sunflower and Gelly Roll glitter pen to the mosquito's wings. I thought briefly about coloring his body red - but thought that might be tooo icky!

The back of this super fun suntan lotion images is a large journaling place too. I am a Coke a Cola addict and I have these pull tops around and decided it'd make a pretty cute little pull tab for the tag. The screw brad is from Hobby Lobby, I picked them up a few years back cuz my hubby is a kick ass race mechanic.

Above is what the pocket looks like with all the tags out. The sentiment is another Scribbles Designs that came with my frog set I showed you back on May 13th. I pulled out some old school eyelets to hold the pocket together ~ go me!

I used Hobby Lobby & Neenah card-stock, digital pattern papers and eyelets. Memento ink, twine, Copic markers, paper doily, ribbons, charms, brads, Wink of Stella and Jelly Roll pens from my (aging) stash.

Please take a quick moment to pop over to see the current challenge on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog. You could win some really awesome prizes if your project is chosen winner!!

Now I'm off to swat some filthy flies! Enjoy your summer day!

Scribble Me - Strike a Pose

I have to tell a little story about my sweet, loving 21 year old daughter. The other day I was doing some much needed computer file maintenance and I "re-found" a ton of selfies of my daughter and pics of her and her friends. I do mean A TON of selfies. Some were really funny as she was making all different kinds of faces. I can remember doing the same, only for my generation it was in front of the mirror! lol  I guess it's just the generation, or maybe the availability of cell phones. I'd hate to think our kids are total narcissists.

I guess I need to tell my daughter all about her holiday - yep - June 21st is National Selfie Day!! LMAO I decided to pick a few of really cute animals to may homage to "Sissy." Of course they can all be found at Scribbles Designs. This card will be for a little added inspiration for the Scribble Design Challenge Blog. You should check out the challenge. Maybe it'll give you joy when you realize my time for telling you about weird, obscure holidays is almost over. You know you're gonna miss it! =)

Promise me you'll work with me here, but I tried to make these little images look like they were taken with a Polaroid camera. I would say I'm showing my age, but heck they've updated the instamatic camera and have it back on the market!! I used: Neenah & Stampin Up cardstock, metals dies and my paper trimmer to layer the images with black. I with my Copics adding Wink of Stella. I created the sentiment in word and added a camera image I found for free on the internet. Speaking of free - all three of these cute animals are Friday Freebies at Scribbles Designs!! Easy Peasy. Think I'll send it to my kiddo.

Scribble Me - Night Night!

Another wonderful pair of BFF's, chocolate warm chip cookies and an ice cold glass of "malk" as my kids & I call it. I'm sorry to say I've failed you, my reader, as a responsible blogger. I apologize for not getting you this VERY important information in a more timely manner. Buuuut, May 15th (yes, 10 days ago) was National Chocolate Cookie Day. Please forgive me, but go ahead and have some cookies in a belated celebration my friends!

I found this perfectly yummy image to commemorate this awesome day. It's a Scribbles Designs of course! I made this a tall and skinny card, something I hardly ever do, although I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's cuz my "photo booth" isn't tall enough?? lol

Images used: Milk &Cookies

This card is made using: Stampin Up cardstock, digi pattern paper and metals dies. I colored all the images with Copics adding Wink of Stella to the milk and cookies. The word "enjoy" is a SU sentiment and I used the large oval whale tale punch to cut it out. The ribbon is seam binding I've had for yeeears.

So it's your turn to go to the Scribbles Challenge Blog to add you project to the current challenge so you can win some free goodies! And click HERE to go to site where you can purchase and download free images.

Scribble Me - HUNGRY!

Are you hungry? Do you love a good hamburger?? Add cheese and bacon to mine and we're good to go! But then again, doesn't bacon make everything much better?

Today I think we should celebrate the wonderful yummy hamburger, cuz know what? Yeah, you're catching on by now huh?? It's National Hamburger Month!! I used this super fun image from Scribbles Designs for a little added inspiration for the Scribble Design Challenge Blog. I am sure that this hamburger is no way related to the theme of the current challenge, but still fun none the less.

Images used: Hamburger

Hey! This card goes really well with the beer mug card I created a little bit ago, lol. So, for this card, I used: Stampin Up cardstock, Crate Paper pattern paper and metals dies. I with my Copics adding Wink of Stella on some of the veggies. I added buttons from my stash, and what is it with buttons looking aligned and then moving around while they dry?! 😁 At least my pennant (that I hand cut) is straight.

Isn't that just the cutest set of images and sentiments?? I wanted to use the frog to celebrate Toad and Frog of course, but also to send out as a birthday card. I added "Hoppy Birthday to the inside of the card.

Images used: Gone Buggy Too

I used Die Cuts With A View pattern paper, SU & Neenah cardstock, buttons from my stash,  Memento ink, Copic markers and a circle die. The hardest part about this card was finding matching buttons, which BTW,  looked totally aligned when I glued them down! LOL

Scribble Me! Buzzing Bee

Howdy!

Did you know that April was Lawn & Garden month? I love being outdoors in the spring. Thankfully, I don't have allergies like my dear hubby. I can be outside for hours listening to the birds sing and admiring the beautiful flowers and green plants & trees. It's just a little bit of heaven I think.

Today is a my GDT spotlight here on my blog for the wonderful Scribble Design Challenge Blog. I decided to recreate a card I saw while spending way too many hours looking thru all the amazing inspiration on Pinterest. Unfortunately the image of this card was a dead link, so I am unable to give credit where credit is due. But the card.... oh so cute!

Images used: Bumble Bee"Hello"

I did change the papers and added the bow and sentiment, but isn't just the cutest? I thought it was a perfect card to celebrate Lawn and Garden month. Now, the coolest thing about this card - this is a FREE images from Scribbles Designs! How wonderful is that?? She actually has a bunch of wonderful FREE images you can download immediately. Run go check them out and download 'ya a few.

To make this card, I used: Neenah cardstock, Robin's Nest zebra paper, American Crafts polka dot paper and SU black glitter paper, boarder punch and ribbon. I colored the fatty with my Copics adding Wink of Stella. I drew his little loopy path with a black gel pen.

Yep, you heard me correctly! April 25th is World Penguin Day! Didn't know about this holiday did you??

When I found out I decided to celebrate the joy by creating this card. Since today I am acting as a Guest Designer for Scribbles Designs, I found this adorable Scribbles Designs image. And yes, I know the time for snowflakes in the south is long gone. But, I try to make my Christmas cards all year long so I don't have a panic party in November when I need 60 cards to mail out. So, "check", one more card completed! :insert smiley face:

I used SU and Neenah cardstock, Bo Bunny patterned papers and a wee tiny ribbon from Hobby Lobby. The snowball bling is from Michaels and was just the perfect little accent. I colored this little guy with my Copics and although you can't see it I put Wink of Stella on this little beak and bow tie.

Please don't forget to head over to Scribbles Design Challenge Blog so you can see the current challenge and submit your project to the mix. You can win a great prize my friend! Exciting News Friends!

I will be acting as a Guest Design Team Member for one of my fav designers!! Over the months of April, May and June, I will be posting for the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog! I will be posting on Sandy's blog the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. I decided to post every Saturday here on my blog using her wonderfully fun images. I thought a fun way to use her images would be to feature odd and obscure holidays! But, please know, I didn't make any of these holidays up. That's what makes some of these dates so dang funny!

Sooo, April is National Humor Month, Keep America Beautiful Month, National Pecan Month and oddly enough with it being National Humor Month, it's also Stress Awareness Month! So, mind your stress and remember to laugh!!

My 1st cards is only here on my blog, BUT, I decided to show you how you can use your images in very different ways then they may have been intended. These cute little elf boots were drawn with Christmas in mind. But, in honor of April Fool's Day, I made this funny little card. Just changed the colors up a wee bit and there you have it.

Scribbles Designs Images Used: #880 Elf's Boot 2

I used my Copics to color his little booties. I added matching paper to the bottom of my cut & matted image. I chose to use two different circle embossing folders in keeping with his polka dot tights. Added a pick button and he's done. This card makes me smile and I hope it'll make my daughter smile too when she gets it in the mail.

Don't forget to stop back by every Saturday to see more of Sandy's designs! Click on the links to participate in her monthly challenge and to purchase some of her versatile designs!
