So, in my studio my work station is directly in front of a HUGE window. I decided about 2 weeks ago to move one of my shepherds hooks across the way. I added one suet and one large capacity bird seed feeder to the hook, thinking it would be a glorious view. Well, it is! BUT, now the trouble I seem to be having is I get very little done. I find myself sitting here watching the birds (9 different species so far) and the rather chubby squirrels!
I can't help it! I love squirrels. I guess my love for them started in college as my sorority's mascot is Skiouros (squirrel in Greek.) I'm an alum of Alpha Gamma Delta, North Georgia Collage in the 80's.
And sadly, no, these are not my photos. I only have a point and shoot camera. I'd LOVE to have a "real" camera and the accompanying knowledge to use it. We have soooo many woodsy neighbors here on our 10 acres.
Well, maybe one day huh? In the mean time, I'll just keep trying hard to get something accomplished here in my studio!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Snowy Little Dream
It's been a while since I posted because I've been working hard on transitioning my Etsy shop to my own stand alone e-commerce site ~ Suzie Q Gifts. I've worked hard to fill my store with stickers, charms, clips, supplies, die cuts, and more. I've been posting mostly on my Face Book and Instagram primarily. It's been going well and has been a lot of fun.
But today I wanted to go back where it all started for me, Cut It Up Challenges! Evelyn's was the 1st Design Team I ever participated on! I decided I need to work on my Christmas cards, I really like working on them throughout the year. It's been like FOREVER since I actually made a card, haven't used my Copic markers in literally 2 years! It's crazy how the crafting world moves on and how my talents have waned. All of that to say, please be kind when viewing my little card. 😀
I cheated and used a Cricut project to make this card, using cardstock from my closet (it would've been from Hobby Lobby or Michael's tho.) I did put Wink of Stella on the trees. I hand stamped the sentiments. It's a good starting place and I will dust off my card making skills and hopefully play along often to rebuild my holiday cards supplies.

St. Patrick's Day DT
Howdy all!
Here today to share my most recent That's Just Penny Design Team project ya. I loved working with these images cuz I really like St. Patrick's Day and I know that spring is just around the corner!
I have listed this journal in my Etsy Shop too. I have a few other goodies listed right now too - click over and take a peek if you have a minute.
Here are a few pictures I took of the journal, but please take a min (if you will) to watch the flip thru video for all the wonderful pages!
It's a soft sided cover approx. 8.25 x 4.5". There are 52 pages in this single signature journal.
I've added 23 different tuck spots or pockets and 13 ephemera inserts.
I've also made 4 altered or decorated paper clips throughout the journal.
I always do a bunch of machine stitching and back all my inserts with coffee stained paper.
There's a lot of hand stamping through out too.
I've added decorative treat bags and made them functioning tuck spots.
So, the kit I used is from That's Just Penny. I have list this journal I(and a few others) in my shop ~ SuzieQ Gifts.
Thank you so much for taking time out to look at my latest journal. Be sure to subscribe to my blog and YouTube channel so you won't miss any coming projects or products!
Have a wonderful day!

My Little Purple Boho Gypsy
It's me again -
This time I am sharing my DT project Amy Joy Studios - I tried hard to beat the sun. Where I tape, the sun comes thru 1 of the 2 skylights in the main room and boy, it gets sooo bright that it washes everything out. So, please know the colors in this journal are much richer than they look.
I have listed this cutie in my Etsy Shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/suzieqgifts
I actually used 2 kits for this one and they can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AmyJoyStudios.
I've been saving this fabric for soooo many years, convinced I would make a skirt. Well, this is better than said skirt! Look at this yummy colors!
I added one of my "word porn" embellishments I have for sale in my Etsy shop.
A fabulous Hobby Lobby clearance flower on this tick spot. Man - what a good time that shopping trip was!
Lots of hand stamping and machine stitching in all my journals.
I wish I had more of this blue universe fabric!
I just love the colors of Amy Joy's kits ~
Thank you for stopping in to see my latest journal. I have more journals in the works, this time without kits.
I have this (and a few other things) listed in my Etsy Shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/suzieqgifts
Thanks again ~ don't forget to subscribe to my blog & YouTube channels to stay up to date on all my goodies =)

BIG NEWS!
Hello again my friends!
In an effort to main stream my focus I am going move my blog to HERE.
I created this a little while ago for a business venture I desperately wanted to build, now is the time to put as much effort into as I can.
The new blog is SuzieQ Gifts. This is the name I've used for my Etsy shop since 2007.
I will leave Maxx & Boo open to view as there are 8 years of goodies to remissness with, but moving forward I will only post SuzieQ Gifts.
I thank you for following me along my journey at Maxx & Boo and I sure do hope you will pop over to SuzieQ Gifts and take the 1st steps with me on my new journey!
See you there my friends!

Just a little groovy thang
Howdy Ho neighbors!
I have been a busy little bee this weekend! Had some super awesome crafty time and have been able to get a bit of it loaded to YouTube and Etsy.
So, 1st up is the wonderful, more masculine junk journal I'm callin' Groovy Orange. It's an altered Reader's Digest book from the mid 1970's. I created a lay flat, hidden stitch spine. Here's the link to my Etsy Shop listing. And here's the link to my YouTube flip thru.
I've also added 4 beaded dangle charms and 2 fabric tassel charms! Here's the link to the BEADED CHARMS and here's the link to the FABRIC TASSELS.
I had a blast making all these charms this weekend and I hope you will pop over to my shop and check out the journal flip thru and all the handmade goodies. See you soon!

Frosted Orange
Howdy peeps!
Here's a new learning experience for me! I did a hidden, lay flat spine on this altered Readers Digest book! I also did a 7 hole stitch pamphlet stitch, which was new to me too. In all I liked the new style. This journal was really more about the technique, so it's a more bare bones. I also will be keeping this one for myself, to down load my day into.
Here's a picture of the guts as I started working on this beauty.
And again before I actually did any stitching. But man how I love this picture!
I do plan on making more of these altered Readers Digest journals, they will be smaller and more manageable I have a few ideas running around my head for u other journals too.
I'll be back soon!

It's a jungle out there!
I have used this adorable image from The Paper Shelter for this Animal Safari challenge. Any type of project is good, as long as it is somehow related to our theme. I sure hope you will take some time to create a project that you can add to the challenge too!
You can win an amazing prize donated by our super sponsor! Here's one more look at my DT inspiration project:
Don't forget to stop by the Kitty Bee Designs site and check out the current challenge - there will be some fabulous prizes if your project is picked!

Bohemian Faire
It's time to share my January DT project for Amy Joy Studios!
And - I have a video! Yep, found my tripod (actually, found THREE of them, LOL) So, I will see if I can get the vid to load directly here and not a link! =)
This cutie is approx 6" x 4". I've created 2 signatures hand sewn in using a pamphlet stitch. There are 13 papers, folded making 26 pages (52 front & back) per signature. So in total there are 104 pages for journaling goodness in this chunky little gal.
The spine is approx. 2.75". The cover is a semi soft cover. I have strip stitched fabric over fusible fleece and the ties have been triple stitched for security.
I made pockets on the front and back covers.
I have mixed coffee stained and color dyed papers together with digi kit sheets and simple digital images. I've added a lot of machine stitching and rubber stamping too.
I've used vintage and newer trims and fabrics.
There are "clippies" of all kinds too.
All of my ephemera is always stitched onto stained papers for journaling and admittedly, the crinkle sound =)
There are tuck spots, pockets and mini books for more journaling.
I used the Bohemian Faire digital kit.
Edited - forgot to add my dang video! lol
So, be sure to check out all the the Amy Joy Studios digi kits. You can also head to my Etsy shop, Suzie Q Gifts, where you can purchase this cute little journal, or other items I have listed.
Thanks for stopping by!
