Settling in slowly

~ Warning ~

Photo heavy post!

Sorry I've not posted regularly, but we've been trying to get settled into our new home - and it's wonderful! In the middle of it all we rec'd many inches of fluffy white stuff!

I have been happily unpacking tons of boxes that have been packed up for 4.5 years! Included in all those boxes, crafting supplies! Whoop Whoop! So very excited to be setting up my craft room again. I want to share with you my December Amy Joy Studios Design Team project. I love hoe it turned out! I used the St. Nick journal kit and added ephemera I found while searching Pinterest, as well as images and pages I've had in my digi collection for years.

I used fabrics, laces and trims from my stash. I painted the chipboard letters with Distress Inks and then added Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

I used various pins, paper clips, charms and beads. I also made the fabric strip tassel. I added little jingle bells to the tassel and signature binding strings.

There are 2 signatures with 12 papers folded in half for a total of 24 pages (48 if you count front and back.) I added inserts that have been sewn onto coffee stained paper. I also included stuck spots, pockets, envelopes and "clippies".

I used decorated tags from swaps I was in many moons ago - this one I had made and it was simply perfect for the colors in this Amy Joy kit.

Don't forget to pop over to Amy Joy's Etsy shop and check out all her fabulous digi kits!

I am so happy with how she turned out =) Now, I have found my tripod and my camera is charged, so I promise that my journal projects moving forward will be video. Thanks for taking a look see at this cutie!

Make sure you check back to see my junk journals soon!

A Very Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas my Kitty Bee friends! For my last 2017 DT spotlight, I created a very different kind of holiday card.  This sweet, little blow-fish dawned a Santa hat to deliver cheer to a family friend this year.

Images Used: Blowfish

Products I used: Neenah and Stampin Up card stock, Copics, Far Far Hill digi paper and Wink of Stella.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to take a peek at my card. I will see you here again on the 1st Wednesday of each month to share more Kitty Bee Designs projects moving forward. Don't forget to join in this weeks challenge for your chance to win some great prizes!!

Merry Penguin Christmas

Hello my friends!

Just wanted to stop my packing for a min. to share a few pictures with you. This is one of my most recent journals for a swap. The fun thing about this is... I made my own book cloth and covered book board to make the cover. It was easy and so much fun, so now, the sky is the limit for fabric covers.

The journal is 7" tall and 5" wide with a 2" spine. It's actually suppose to be a December Daily journal to track your busy, family filled month.

I decided to use a more retro color pallet which fits me sooo well. I adore everything mid-century!

The fabric I have had in my stash for years. I thought it was perfect for the two kits I used.

I used kits from Ephemoire's Peppermint Stick and Calico Collage's Joyful Christmas. I thought they worked nicely together.

All the vintage ephemera I used for the journaling inserts I found during Pinterest searches.

The mini clothes pins and charms I purchased from Walmart and Hobby Lobby. The lace pockets are lace from a dress I purchased at Goodwill.

I hope my swap partner likes this cutie. I know I had a lot of fun creating it. Now, I'm off to pack a few more boxes. Have a wonderful weekend!
